Postcards from Finland

I would like to write about the postcards I received for the first time during the year of war in my country Ukraine. The postcrossing service was inactive for areas that were occupied or where war was taking place.

So no postcards were sent to my area. I sent about 10 postcards to different countries around the world, writing about how I needed help to Ukraine and that I was safe and so on. My postcards went through.

my postcard shipments after the first year of the war in Ukraine

Then I communicated with postcrossing support about the situation in my area and postcards were available! HOORAY!

Postcrossing service re-launched for Ukraine

I received the first three postcards straight from the country – Finland!

People support Ukrainians in their fight for their independence and for their freedom!

I’ll show you the postcards and delve a little deeper into where people sent them from…

  1. Being a passionate postcrosser from Kharkiv, I was very frustrated for a long period – no postcards were sent to me even after my region was de-occupied. So I am grateful to Alex for having persuaded PC bosses that we are safe and reliable to send postcards to. Amazing cards from Finland, Alexander!! Keep on making the world a better place – one card at a time! And my great thanks to all our friends around the world for standing with Ukraine and supporting us, Ukrainians! NO TO WAR!!!

I am very glad that postcards are coming to us again and that we can send them, thanks to the armed forces of Ukraine! Thanks to postcards we can tell people more and more about our amazing country!
