The Woodlands is a popular destination for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. It’s also perfect for families with children, as there are many kid-friendly activities in the area. For an educational outing, visit The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion which has been named one of the top ten theaters in America by industry experts. And if you need a break from all the shopping and dining, head to Market Street, where you can find a wide variety of retail shops and restaurants! 

Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is an incredible and historic amphitheater that hosts some of the most popular concerts today. It was opened in 1982 and is located in The Woodlands, Texas. The pavilion was named for the wife of the chairman and CEO of Huntsman Corporation. It is now run by a non-profit organization out of The Woodlands. This wonderful amphitheater has won many awards, including Pollstar’s International Touring Award in 1992 for being one of the top-tier music venues in North America.

The Woodlands Mall

The Woodlands Mall is a shopping center that resides in The Woodlands, Texas. It opened on October 17, 1991 and was built at the cost of 168 million dollars. The mall features many different stores for anyone’s needs. Some of the popular stores include Macy’s, Macy’s Men Store, the Apple Store, the Custom Shop-Innovation Lab at Huntsman. As of today, there are more than 230 shops and restaurants on site. The Woodlands Mall is one of the major shopping areas in The Woodlands.
Market Street Market Street is a retail center that’s located in the town of The Woodlands, Texas. It offers many different kinds of stores and services at an outdoor setting. This wonderful place to visit has been open since 2003 and attracts more than 7 million visitors each year from all around Texas.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum

The Woodlands Children’s Museum is an exceptional place for kids and parents to go and spend time together. This exciting museum features things like art and playtime for the little ones and fun activities so that parents and children can enjoy themselves. There are also interactive exhibits. Visitors can even become members to enjoy all the benefits of this wonderful museum!

George Mitchell Nature Preserve

Tucked away in The Woodlands, Texas is the George Mitchell Nature Preserve. This wonderful place is a little less than an hour’s drive from Houston and is perfect for outdoor activity enthusiasts of all kinds! There are 300 acres of land outfitted with trails, streams, and ponds to explore. Each year, more than 250 species of birds can be found here during their migration season. This preserve is also home to the bronze sculpture “The Sound” which marks George Mitchell first spied natural gas in 1966! Woodlands residents and those who work out of town will especially enjoy hiking and biking here.

Creekwood Park

Located in the heart of The Woodlands, Creekwood Park is a popular destination for those who love nature! It’s location right next to Spring Creek makes it perfect for an afternoon with friends and family. Many locals come to this park at least once a week, as there is plenty to do here! Visitors can spend their time fishing or canoeing along the banks of the creek; they can also play miniature golf on the nine-hole course that’s located on-site. 
The Woodlands is a great place to visit with plenty of things to do. Whether you want to shop or enjoy the outdoors, there are many options for everyone!.
As you can see, there is a wide variety of things to do in The Woodlands. Like I said before, you can visit the art museum or the theatre if you want some time away from all the hustle and bustle and shop and dine at Market Street where there are plenty of stores and restaurants! George Mitchell Nature Preserve offers many different activities for anyone’s needs–from hiking and biking to fishing and even miniature golf! If you live in Texas or work out of town, consider going to Creekwood Park with friends and family. There are plenty of options for everyone at this wonderful place!
